Michigan Transportation Planning Association (MTPA)
The Michigan Transportation Planning Association (MTPA) is a voluntary association of Michigan’s MPOs and other transportation planning agencies. MTPA coordinates transportation planning activities throughout the state, fosters professional development, and promotes best practices in regional transportation planning. It serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and improving coordination among local, regional, and state transportation partners.
Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO)
The Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO) is a national, nonprofit organization that represents the interests of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) across the United States. AMPO provides policy advocacy, research, training, and technical support to help MPOs carry out federally mandated transportation planning. It serves as a central hub for collaboration and information sharing among MPO professionals.
